Cloak is a trading name of Custom Racewear Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11132127). Registered office: 20-22 Wenlock Rd, London N1 7GU. In these terms "we" and "us" means Cloak, and "you" means the person who signs up and pays.
To contact us, send a request from help in your editor, or email hello@cloakweb.co.uk.
Cloak gives you a website, an editor to build and update it, and hosting to keep it online. You can build your site privately for free. You only pay when you put it live.
You sign in with a link we email you, so keep your email account secure. You are responsible for what happens in your editor.
If the website is about someone under 18, you must be their parent or guardian, or have their permission. You are the account holder and the person we deal with.
Premium is the same plan with every Premium feature switched on. If you move up to Premium during a plan, it switches on straight away and we charge the difference for the rest of your current month or year, once. Differences under £1 are not charged. From your next renewal you pay the Premium price. If you move back to Standard, Premium stays on until your next renewal and then you pay the Standard price. Nothing is refunded for the change.
You pay by card through Square, our payment provider. We never see your full card number. Your plan renews automatically until you cancel. For yearly plans we email you 30 days and 7 days before each renewal.
If our prices change, we will email you at least 30 days before you pay a new price. You can cancel before then.
If you ask us to build your site for you, it is a one-off £99, on top of your plan.

The build service is finished when we have built your site and made your round of changes.
You can cancel your plan at any time in the Billing tab of your editor. No more payments are taken. Your site stays online, and your editor keeps working, until the end of the period you have paid for.
If you are a consumer, you can cancel within 14 days of paying, for any reason.
When you pay, you ask us to start straight away: a plan puts your site live at once, and the build service starts on your site at once. That means:
To cancel within 14 days, tell us clearly. Send a request from help in your editor, or email hello@cloakweb.co.uk. We refund to the card you paid with, within 14 days of you telling us.
For 30 days nothing changes, and we email you to update your card. After that, your editor is locked but your site stays online. If nothing changes for a further 90 days, your site is archived. It comes off the web, but your content is kept. You can restart it at the price at that time.
A cancelled plan follows the same path from the end of the period you paid for: editing is paused, then the site is archived 90 days later.
We keep an archived site for 12 months, then delete it. We email you a month before, so you can restart it or download your photographs.
Everything you add stays yours. You give us permission to store it, show it on your website and copy it as needed to run the service.
Only add words, photographs, logos and videos you have the right to use. Do not add anything that:
You can download your photographs from the Billing tab at any time.
We may remove content, or take a site offline, if we reasonably believe it breaks these terms or the law, or if someone credibly tells us it does.
Usually we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. If the content is unlawful, puts someone at risk, or could harm a child, we may act straight away and tell you afterwards.
If you think we got it wrong, tell us from help in your editor and we will look at it again.
If you connect a domain of your own, you buy it from, and pay, the domain seller. It stays yours.
We work hard to keep your site online and your editor working, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We may improve or change features over time.
Some parts rely on other services, such as YouTube and Instagram. We are not responsible for those services.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.
Otherwise, we are not responsible for losses we could not have expected, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you have paid us in the 12 months before the problem.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you time to put it right.
If we close your account for this reason, we refund any part of your plan that you have paid for and not yet used.
We may stop offering Cloak, or decide not to continue your plan, for any lawful reason. If we do, we will email you at least 60 days before your site comes off the web, and we will not take any more payments.
If you have paid in advance, we refund the part you have not used.
Your site stays online until then. Before it ends, you can download your photographs from the Billing tab, and we will send you a copy of your words if you ask. If you connected your own domain, it stays yours to use elsewhere.
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we will email you before it takes effect.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
